This is the first episode of The On Preaching Podcast, the podcast dedicated to helping you preach faithfully, clearly, and better.

My goal is that this podcast will be a living room couch where we can sit together and talk about the important, nature, and practice of faithful, Christ-centered, biblical preaching.

In this inaugural episode, I attempt to answer three questions:

1. Who is H.B. Charles Jr.? This podcast is not about me. It is about preaching. But as the host of this podcast, you should know a bit about me up front. After all, I hope we will spend a lot of time together in the weeks to come.
2. Why a podcast? Why this podcast? I am doing this podcast for me. And I am doing it for you. I want to preach more faithfully, clearly, and better. And I hope to help you to do the same.
3. What should you expect in the weeks to come? Here I talk briefly about the content and format of the podcast in the future. I have great expectations for this show. But please, be patient. This podcasting thing is new to me. But I trust I will get the hang of it as we go.
