  • #092: Practical Shepherding with Brian Croft [PODCAST]
  •

Welcome to The On Preaching Podcast, the podcast dedicated to helping you preach faithfully, clearly, and better.

In this episode, I interview Brian Croft. Croft is Senior Pastor of Auburndale Baptist Church and Founder of Practical Shepherding. He is also the Senior Fellow of the Mathena Center for Church Revitalization at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and has written or contributed to over twenty books on pastoral ministry. He is married to Cara, and they have four children.

I am most encouraged these days by men who have a high view of the church. I am especially encouraged by Brian Croft, who serves local churches by writing books, leading conferences, and providing resources to help pastors shepherd their churches faithfully and practically.

During our conversation, we talked about the pastor’s public and private ministry in the church. We also talked about what it looks like to be faithful when you are leading a divided, declining, or dying church. Enjoy!

The most courageous pastors are the ones who don’t perform, but rest in their identity in Christ and live in the freedom of being themselves before their people. – Brian Croft
