  • Happy Veterans Days!

Thanks to all the veterans who have served our country to protect our freedom.

This Sunday was my 5th pastoral anniversary at the Shiloh Church!  May the Lord grant that we will have many more years of fruitful Christian service together as pastor and people.

These past five years have definitely not been easy. No pastora1456724_10202322431242517_1275438509_nte is. But I do not have the words to describe the sense of joy and privilege it has been to serve Shiloh these years. I am a blessed man to serve such a great church!

Thanks to the Shiloh pastors, staff, leaders, and members for your prayers, generosity, and encouragement this week.

A big shout-out to the Pastors’ Wives and Women’s Ministry for the beautiful luncheon you hosted for Crystal Saturday.

As always, it was good to have our guests in worship. It was additionally special to have family and friends who came from Los Angeles and Seattle to be with us for the weekend.

Our children’s choir sang and did a wonderful job, as always.

Praise God for the two who were baptized!

George Hurtt, who is the Pastor of the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, brought the message today. Pastor Hurtt was a great blessing to us, preaching from Job 1 in both services.

Praise God for those who were added to the church in both services!

I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to sit with the congregation under the ministry of the word on the Sunday morning. It’s a rare treat for me. And I savored every moment of it.

Next week’s sermons: “A Warning against Nominal Christianity” (Revelation 3:1-6).

The New Orleans Saints defeated my Dallas Cowboys, 49-17. In the process, the Saints set a new record, making 40 first downs.

The Jacksonville Jaguars got their first win by defeating the Tennessee Titans. Who’s next? Go Jags!

I know you did not notice. But my USC Trojans demolished the Cal Bears this weekend, 62-28.

Do not pay attention to the early season Miami Heat losses. All is well. Three-peat coming!

I am also glad that NCAA basketball season is starting up. For the record, I am a Duke Blue Devils fan!

Speaking of Miami… I don’t know what to make of the shenanigans going on with the Miami Dolphins. Do you?
