Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. – Colossians 4:2

January 11-18 is Prayer Emphasis Week at the Shiloh Church.

Our goal is to begin the year giving thanks, making confession, submitting our lives, offering petitions, and interceding for one another.

In our worship services yesterday, members filled out prayer cards and left them at the altar. We asked each member to come this week and spend at least 15 minutes praying for the needs on the cards.

YOU CAN SUBMIT PRAYER REQUESTS THROUGH OUR CHURCH WEBSITE (www.shiloh.church). CLICK THE ENGAGE TAB TO FIND THE PRAYER LINK. REQUESTS MAY BE SUBMITTED ANONYMOUSLY OR PUBLICLY.

MGM_0519I preached about “Praying With the End in Mind” from 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12, challenging the church to pray for the right things and for the right reasons.

WE WILL SEND OUT THE SERMON MANUSCRIPT FROM SUNDAY BY EMAIL THIS WEEKEND. YOU CAN SIGN UP FOR THE SERMON MANUSCRIPT LIST IN THE BOX AT THE TOP OF THE RIGHT COLUMN OF THIS PAGE.

Each weekday morning, we will have prayer calls at 6 AM. Our first call this morning was 10 minutes long. I read and gave a devotional thought from Philippians 4:6-7. Then I led the group in prayer. It was great to start our day in prayer together.

YOU CAN JOIN THESE PRAYERS CALLS AT 6 AM BY CALLING 877-366-0711 (PASSCODE: 77292014).

In our Midweek Worship Services Tuesday & Wednesday evening, I plan to teach a lesson entitled, “Pray for One Another: The Dynamics of Intercessory Prayer.”

Friday evening we will an All-Night Prayer Meeting from 10 PM to 6 AM at both of our campuses. We will sing praises, read scripture, share testimonies, hear teaching, and pray together. Each member is asked to take part for at least one hour. (I am scheduled to teach at 10:30 PM in Orange Park and at midnight downtown.)

    • May we rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances!
    • May we submit every sphere of our lives to the lordship of Jesus Christ in a fresh and new way!
    • May this week result in more and better disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ!
    • May the Lord hear and answer many prayers!
    • May God get all the glory!

    It happens after prayer!
