Saturday Shout-Outs: Friends, Sports, & Ministry Links

Happy Veterans Day Weekend! We are grateful for the men and women who have sacrificed to preserve the freedoms we enjoy.

I am still praising God for the four years he has granted me to serve the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church as its pastor.

We are still praying for those in the North East who suffered through Sandy and are now dealing with a cold front of snow.

A birthday shout-out to S. Wesley, one of the faithful members of the Shiloh Church staff who keeps me in line. Thanks for everything you do!

Shout-out to my friends – George Hurtt, Romell Williams, Keelan Atkinson, & Jimmy Washington – for spending several days with me this week. I enjoyed the fellowship. And needed it!

We sat in the cold Thursday night and watched the Jaguars get beat down by the Colts. It wasn’t even a game. The Jags remain winless at home.

I cannot believe the Los Angeles Lakers fired Coach Mike Brown after only five games. I predict Phil Jackson will occupy the sideline for the third time. (By the way, there is absolutely no way the Lakers will compete against my Miami Heat this season. No way.)
