SMBC Make A Difference Day 2009

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16

In the morning, the membership of the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church of Jacksonville will engage in a one day missionary blitz that we are calling, “Make A Difference Day.” Various member districts, Bible Study Fellowship groups, and ministry teams will participate in practical acts of service to show the love of Christ throughout our city.

From helping to building low income homes, to serving at local rescue missions, to running helpful errands for the elderly, to serving in mission organizations, to serving the needy in the neighborhood around our church campus, the members of SMBC will be striving to bring glory to our Father in heaven by serving others.

Please remember this special outreach in your prayers.

  1. This design is steller! You definitely understand how to
have a reader entertained. In between your wit along with your videos, I used to be almost transferred to start my blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job.
I seriously loved what you needed to say, and over that, how you
    will presented it. Too cool!

  2. District 34 (Deacons Bobby Crumbley & Warren Smith) beautified the yard of an elderly man in the Sherwood area. We had a good ole time doing God’s work. The grateful gentleman said some of the trees and bushes in his yard had not been touched in over 20 years. He can now sit in yard and enjoy the Florida weather. His smiled made us all smile. We even extended our kindness to a neighbor across the street who just so happen to be out in her yard. Thanks Pastor for your vision. This was truly one of the most rewarding and blessing experiences that I have participated in at Shiloh. I am so proud to be a member of Shiloh and even more proud to be in God’s army.

  3. Yay Shiloh! Our District visited 3 nursing homes today. It was so fulfilling to see the smiles on what I consider to be sometimes the forgotten, our elderly. We brought gifts, sang hymns, and had prayer. One resident ask that we sing a song by the Beatles! That was funny. I truly believed if we knew the song we would have sung it. It’s amazing to see so many of God’s people who may not remember their own names, but knows the name of Jesus. Praise God!
